CAPE KIWANDA MASTER PLAN:
PARKING MANAGEMENT PLAN
After a thorough evaluation of the three recommended phases of the Cape Kiwanda Master Plan, the Steering Committee determined in mid-2017 that a comprehensive Parking Management Plan was the top priority. As a result, a Project Management Team and a Project Advisory Committee were formed to develop the plan.
In October 2017, Tillamook County entered into a contract with Kittelson & Associates to provide research and analysis of the myriad and complex Cape Kiwanda parking issues. Specifically, Kittelson is tasked with providing the County with a preliminary set of parking management strategies that can be implemented within the Pacific City/Woods area prior to Summer 2018, conducting a parking survey during Summer 2018, and providing a Parking Management Plan that can be implemented after Summer 2018 over time in coordination with the local community. Along the way, Kittelson will work closely with the Project Management Team and the Project Advisory Committee and will seek public feedback by holding at least one Town Hall.
