34 years with Oregon Dept. of Forestry, which included being the District Forester in Tillamook for 21 years managing the majority of the Tillamook State Forest which is about half of Tillamook County; was an Incident Commander on the State's Fire Overhead Mgmt Team 1 for 11 years; was one of five people nationwide to be qualified as an Area Commander.
Chosen by the Society of American Foresters as Forester of the Year for Oregon.

Chosen Tillamook County Citizen of the Year in 2004.
Past President of the Tillamook Chamber of Commerce.
Past President of the Tillamook Kiwanis Club.
Coached Tillamook YMCA youth baseball and basketball for 7 years.

Past Regional Director and Annual Meeting Chair of the Oregon State Management Assoc.
Appointed by the Oregon Dept of Fish & Wildlife Commission in 1991 to be a member of the Fish Restoration & Enhancement Board, served two terms and was twice selected as Chair of the R&E Board.
Recognized by the Fish & Wildlife Commission for major contributions to assisting Oregon's Fish and Wildlife.
Appointed by the Governor to serve as the State's representative on the Federal Lands Province Advisory Committee representing the Oregon Coast and served one term.

Employment:
Bill is a Certified Public Accountant and in 1980 started his own CPA firm, which expanded into a partnership with his spouse in 1991. As a Certified Public Accountant, he has audited many of
the county's schools, municipalities, and special districts. In addition, his background in taxation has given him a broad experience with the farming and business communities.
