Tillamook County held its annual public land sale auction on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
Properties that remain unsold at the annual auction are held over until the next annual sale. Tillamook County considers reasonable written offers on unsold land parcels between auctions that are at least 85% of the minimum bid price at the last auction, pursuant to ORS 275.200, from bidders who have never defaulted on a Tillamook County public land sale. Disclaimer: These properties are sold as is, where is. The County does not provide title or appraisal reports nor is legal advice provided. The buyer will receive a Tax Deed and there will not be a closing. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to do your due diligence before making an offer. The parcel information sheets included in the lists above are a good starting point and the County's interactive mapping tool is useful. Key considerations include:
title searches (County Clerk's office)
land use/buildability (Department of Community Development or municipality if within limits of a city)
property tax assessment (Assessorís office)
municipal/utility liens (buyer will be responsible for all of those)
roads (County Road Department and/or municipality if within limits of a city), etc.
