In the Matter of Adopting Ordinance Amendment Request 851-16-000245-PLNG: Amendments to sections of the Tillamook County Comprehensive Plan and 2005 Transportation System Plan (TSP) to recognize and support the planned regional multiuse bicycle and pedestrian Salmonberry Trail (Trail). The planned Trail will extend approximately 86 miles (total) from Banks, Oregon to Tillamook, Oregon. Through the unincorporated County between the south end of the City of Wheeler and the north end of the City of Tillamook are four sections of the Trail. The most northerly section is located between the City of Wheeler and the City of Rockaway. The second section is located between the City of Rockaway and the City of Garibaldi. The third section is located between the City of Garibaldi and the City of Bay City. The fourth section is located between the City of Bay City and the City of Tillamook. The distance of these four sections in total is approximately 11.31 miles. These Trail sections are conceptually planned to primarily follow the Port of Tillamook Bay rail right-of-way, with possibly alternatives using US 101.
A request to expand the City of Nehalem Urban Growth Boundary (UGB), rezone a series of parcels identified as Tax Lots 300, 301, 302, 303 and 304 of Section 27BD, Township 3 North, Range 10 West of the Willamette Meridian, Tillamook County Oregon, from Rural Residential 2-Acre (RR-2) to Medium Residential - RM Zone and to amend the City of Nehalem Zoning Map (and Tillamook County Zoning Map) to reflect these proposed changes.
