ATTENTION: ORDINANCE #84, regarding Short Term Vacation Rentals, was officially adopted by the Tillamook County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday, September 13th, 2017. The ordinance became effective on September 13th, 2017.  A link to the Ordinance is available below, and the attachments required for permit application are listed in the ordinance.

 

NEW SHORT TERM VACATION RENTAL PERMIT

PLEASE SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING PACKET: (Incomplete packets received WILL NOT BE PROCESSED but returned to applicant)

 

1.    Completed and signed ApplicationPDF.

        **If you are the property manager submitting the application on        

          behalf of the property owner, please submit proof of your ability to

          act on behalf of the owner (i.e., written statement, contract)**

 

2.    Affidavit of Notification PDF : Affidavit itself MUST BE NOTARIZED

        ONE of the following is required:

       a.    Notify in writing all neighbors within 250 feet of property lines. A copy of notification letter and list of those notified must be provided.

              OR

       b.    Post sign with contact name and telephone number listed. A photo of signage in situ must be provided.

      

       (The County will do notification for homeowner for a fee of $100.00 - Affidavit of Notification still required in packet - please call 503-842-3408 X3122 for more information)

 

3.    Site Plan PDF(Can be hand drawn - must show required parking spots)

 

4.    Proof of Liability Insurance.

 

5.    Proof of Garbage Service

 

6.   Transient Lodging Tax Registration Form

 

7.    Permit and Inspection Fees: Please make one check payable to Tillamook County in the amount of $350.00

       a.    $250.00  Annual Permit Fee

        b.   $100.00  Inspection Fee

(Please take a moment to peruse the Inspection Checklist from Supporting Document area. If property fails initial inspection, owner shall pay a special inspection fee for each additional inspection required)

 

NEW OWNERSHIP OR MANAGEMENT CHANGE

TRANSFER OR UPDATE AN EXISTING PERMIT BY SUBMITTING THE FOLLOWING:

 

1.    Updated and signed ApplicationPDF.

        **If you are the property manager submitting the application on        

          behalf of the property owner, please submit proof of your ability to

          act on behalf of the owner (i.e., written statement, contract)**

 

2.    Proof of Liability Insurance (In case of new ownership only)

 

3.    Updated signage (In case of new management only)

 

4.    Updated Transient Lodging Tax Registration Form
